    Feuillard

Louis Feuillard (20 June 1872 - 18 September 1941)  was a cellist and cello teacher at the Paris Conservatory.

He is primarily remembered for being a teacher of the famous cellist Paul Tortelier.  His daily exercises show the most important elements of cello technique.  They include neck positions and thumb and bow drills.  The logical structure of the exercises have meant that they have become standard in the cello pedagogy literature since their first publication in 1919.
