    Product Description

As many others before him, Enricus Ceruti continued in his father's line of trade as a violinmaker. Beginning this pursuit around the 1840s, it was not long before his handiwork was attracting attention in music circles. Unlike other violinmakers of the day, he did not base his designs on the work of the Italian masters Stradivarius and del Gesu, but rather plotted an individual style. His instruments have a distinctive light-coloured varnish.
