    1. It is light and smart and fits my violin nicely

Posted by M. Schlink on 19th Oct 2014

I think it was Dietrich I spoke to at Animato initially about the Jakob Winter case for my violin. It arrived promptly (2 weeks ago now) just in time for me to take it on a trip. I am very happy with the case, it is light and smart and fits my violin nicely. Some feedback - it is very compact, ie no room for extra stuff! I have a centre chin rest which has been raised slightly and it only just fits because the top padding is quite fitted (I moved the maker's sticker out of the way too). A player with a very high chin rest may have more difficulty. As I have a regular Kun style shoulder rest that fits in the end compartment and I discovered I can slip spare strings under the neck.
      Thanks very much!
