    Product Description

This beautiful violin, according to the Harold who inherited this violin, came from his grandfather John who studied at the Con in Sydney in the 1920's. He got it from the second conceret master of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra who was his teacher. Regrettably, John became ill and since his passing it was in the care of his daughter Mary George who is now advanced in her age. She asked Harold to sell it on her behalf to finance the publishing and promotion of a book (research) that Mary George is writing.

The violin does not have a label. It looks like a violin from the mid 18th Century and may well be Italian. It has a strong, brilliant, sil000kly sound that would suit a soloist.

    The price is negotiable.
