    Product Description

    The Spector Mute from Super-Sensitive

This orchestral mute was designed by Fred Spector who has 45 years experience as a violinist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The Spector mute can remain on your violin continuously.  When not in use the A and D strings hold the mute in place with no buzzing or rattling. When the score calls for a mute (con sordino),  the player can quickly and easily slide the mute forward until its lip rests over the top of the bridge.  When it is time to go senza sordino,  you can then slide the mute back towards the tailpiece.  This mute is made of a synthetic material that slides easily over the bridge
